Designed and drawn on the wood by Charles H. Bennett. Engraved by Swain. Original purple cloth binding, rebacked retaining original spine. Gilt titles to the front and spine. Spine browned, considerable offsetting to the rear boad, minor fading and a little staining to the front. New endpapers, binding night and tight. Contains 22 fables, all with excellent accompanying full page colour plate. Complete with all plates. Contents in wonderful clean condition, plates free from foxing just light occasional thumb marking. A nice example of a very scarce title.
