Eight raised bands to spine with gilt tooled embellishments. All edge gilt to page edges. Bevelled edges. Contains bookplate to fep. Engraved frontispiece and decorative title page with engraved vignette. 22 engraved plates, a number of which are folding. These include maps and detailed tables. Moderate to heavy wear to cover and spine, particularly to the hinge. Bumping to corners. Light spotting and toning to pages throughout. Pages are otherwise clean and clear, binding nice and tight. Overall very good condition. Beautiful and quirky antiquarian book.
