Printed for the Trustees of the Late James Morison, by John Moir. Half-bound in vellum with red cloth boards and gilt titles to spines. Bound by Bayntin Binders, with binder's stamp to front free endpaper. Five raised bands to each spine. Top edges gilt. Bindings tight, with marbled endpapers. Contents mostly clean, with some occasional light foxing and a few light annotations in pencil. Both with frontispiece portraits protected by original tissue guards. Overall very good; a stunningly beautiful pair of books. Volume One: cxxx + 320pp. Volume Two: 357pp
