First Edition Thus. Beautifully illustrated throughout by Cecil Aldin. Original green cloth boards with mistletoe and holly illustration to the front, small gilt vignette and titles to the spine. The binding is generally in good condition with very little wear although the spine is sunned with minor shelf wear to the top and base. Binding tight. End-papers a little age-toned otherwise the pages are clean with no foxing or inscriptions. Full page coloured frontispiece and title page with original tissue guard. pp. 176. Overall a good copy. Would make an ideal gift.
