Uniformly bound in red cloth, blind ruled border to boards with textured detail, gilt title and ruled decorative borders to spines. Each volume with leaf tipped in to half title 'this edition is specially prepared for subscribers. Colour plates on glossy paper, total 48 over the three volumes. Numerous figures within the text, 109 over the three volumes. Rubbed and scuffed areas, rear board of volume III has chipping to cloth surface. Corners a little bumped. Spines quite sunned, and gilt quite dulled. Pages are toned to edges, but otherwise clean and bright. Overall good condition, a good working copy. Vol I xv + 588pp. Vol II viii + 624 pp. Vol III vii + 583 pp. Please note this is a heavy set and may incur additional shipping charges.
