First edition hardback bound in original green cloth with decorative borders and lettering to cover and spine. Bevelled edges. Portrait frontispiece with tissue guard. Numerous photographs throughout. Spine discoloured to a brown colour, gilt dulled but still clear. Small split in cloth lower spine, spine edges a little worn. Light spotting throughout, marginal. Tissue guard foxed and split. Cracking to gutter visible in places but binding sound. Overall good condition, a pretty book. xx + 448 + xii pp.
