First edition hardback bound in original blue cloth with gilt floral motif and title to cover and spine. Top edge gilt, bottom edge rough-trimmed. Pictorial endpapers and half title. Full colour illustrated frontispiece printed on glossy paper with caption. Pictorial title page printed in red and black. Additional eleven such plates throughout. Numerous line drawings within the text. Spine edges and corners a little bumped. A few small scuffs to binding as a result of shelf wear, minor. Endpapers and prelims, lightly toned/mottled.
