Ref. 110399   Edition. First Edition

Illustrated By: W. Scott Champion

Published By: Published by C. Kinch 1869 (Henley On Thames)

First Edition. The Prize Essay of the Royal Institute of British Architects, January, 1868. Scarce Copy.  Original purple cloth boards with gilt titles to the front board. Although structurally sound the binding does show some discolouration. Previous owners' neat ink inscription to the front paste down. Slight cracking to the rear internal hinge despite this the binding is still fairly tight. There is a little staining to the plates possibly caused by damp otherwise a bright clean copy. Illustrated with four plates. pp. 24. An interesting essay into window tracery. Overall a good copy of a scarce title.
