Three complete volumes. Hardbacks bound in original green cloth with gilt border. Gilt lettering to spine. Printed embossed pictorial cover and spine. Pages untrimmed. Pictorial half title. Pictorial headpieces, and numerous illustrations within the text throughout. Bindings are rubbed with the odd scuff or mark. Shelf wear. Cracking to gutters although bindings sound. Pages lightly toned with spotting to edges. The odd area of discolouration but clean for the most part. Split to rear edge of spine to vol i and front edge of vol iii which have either not lifted or been glued down. Overall a pretty set that presents well. Good condition. Heavy set may induce additional postage charge.
