Due to the small format of this book it appears to be an early edition. Rebound in half leather with marbled boards and gilt lettering to spine. Colour plates throughout. Lacking prelims and title page. Ink inscriptions to front 'endpaper'. Binding quite worn with loss to the bottom quarter of the spine, dents to the fore edge and scuffing. Pages are quite darkened with mottling and soiling. A book that has a charm in that it is well used, nice with the illustrations throughout. 672 pp.
