First edition hardback bound in half tan leather with marbled boards. Double ruled blind tooled border to covers. Five gilt ruled raised bands to spine with gilt stamped ornaments to each compartment, red leather title band with gilt lettering. Page edges and endpapers marbled. Gilt stamped school motif to fep. Inscriptions in three separate hands to front blanks, one dated 1871, the others undated. A little self wear and rubbing, some scuffs to binding, corners bumped, pages lightly toned with occasional spotting. Overall very good condition, a smart copy. xxii + 320 pp. Francisco Pazarro Gonzalez was a Spanish conquistador, best known for his expeditions to Peru.
