Original light brown cloth binding with decorative floral embossed border to the front and rear boards and gilt pictorial spine. In an overall good sound condition with just slight splitting of the cloth along the front outer hinge. The cloth is a little discoloured in places. Pages a little toned but clean throughout, minor chipping to the corner of the rear free end-paper, illustrated with black and white line drawings with-in the text. pp. xxxii + 683 + 32. Overall a very good copy. With provenance from Major Beeton's Private Collection.
