Hard back First Edition. Beautifully bound in full green cloth with decorative embossing and gilt titles to the front. In an overall good clean condition and with very little wear. Ornate gilt decoration to the spine with minor shelf wear to the top and base. All edges of the text block gilt. Binding a little weak with cracking to the internal hinges. Previous owners' label to the front paste down. Pages very lightly toned otherwise clean throughout. Illustrated with full page black and white plates and several with-in the text. pp. vi + 468. Overall a good + copy. From the library of Major Beeton.
