No external wear; striking cerulean blue dust jacket covered with removable transparent plastic protective cover. Underneath lie similarly pristine black cloth boards with silver gilt titling to spine. Not price clipped. A few small marks to top edge of text block but no loss and this does not encroach upon the pages themselves. Appears unread. No marks or flaws within. Overall, a rare and excellent copy of this 1990s children's novel penned as both a bedtime story and as an allegorical response to Rushdie's own circumstances after the controversy that surrounded 1988's The Satanic Verses.
