First Edition. The Dumpy Books For Children Series Number 27. Original pale green cloth boards in good condition despite some discolouration to the rear. Minor discolouration and a little fading to the spine. Binding a little weak with cracking to the internal hinges. Previous owners neat ink signature to the front free endpaper. Pages however are clean throughout and beautifully illustrated by G.M.C Fry. pp. 95. A lovely copy.
