The Rite Of Benediction Compline For Sundays And Other Devotions. New And Revised Edition. A small slim format. Beautifully bound in mother of pearl with gilt initials and title to the front and fitted with two small brass clasps. The binding is in very good condition, minor pulling of the cloth to the top joining the front to the spine. The clasps are each without their catch with a small part of the loop to one missing.  All edges of the text block gilt and still bright. Internally there is a three dimensional inset scene of Christ on a Cross picked out in silk with gilt decorative border. Inscription to the verso of the front free endpaper and a little occasional foxing otherwise the pages are generally very clean. Illustrated frontispiece and title page with red decorative border. pp. xxi + 494. Overall a very good example.
