New Edition in Four Volumes together with The Supplementary Works Of William Shakspeare, making five volumes in total. Beautifully bound in half tan leather with ornate gilt tooling and two title bands to the spine. The leather is in good condition with hardly any wear with the gilt decoration and titles still bright. Marble paper covered boards with a little surface wear especially to the first volume otherwise bright and clean. All edges of the text block marble with marbled endpapers, previous owners' signature to the front free endpaper of volume four otherwise free of any signatures. Pages are clean throughout despite a little foxing to the prelims and very occasionally throughout. Overall a very good set. Would make an ideal gift or a beautiful adornment on any book shelf.
