First Edition Thus, Hard Back 1899. Bound in the publishers' original blue cloth with bevelled edges and pictorial to the front and spine. In overall good condition although a little faded in places with a little shelf wear to the top and base of the spine. All edges of the text block bright gilt. Rear free endpaper missing with a little wear to the front endpapers. There is the very occasional spot of foxing throughout although heavier to the prelims and towards the rear. Pages otherwise are very clean throughout and beautifully illustrated. pp.  472. Overall a good copy. This book is slightly heavier than average and may require extra shipping.
