First Edition Hardback. A beautiful book with illustrations by Edmund Dulac. Handsomely bound in red cloth with gilt pictorial to the front and gilt titles to the spine. The cloth although in good condition with the gilt still bright has faded in places. Internally the binding is tight. The front free endpaper shows a previous owner's inscription and bookplate while the half-title pages is toned with some foxing. The rest of the pages are clean throughout. Illustrated with full-page colour frontispiece complete with it's tissue guard and a further eleven plates throughout. Overall a good copy.
