First Edition Hardback. Bound in the publisher's original cloth with beautifully illustrated front board and spine. The cloth is generally in good condition with just a little darkening of the cloth to the spine and shelf wear to the top and base. The front endpapers are toned with previous owner's neat inscription to the front free endpaper. The rest of the pages are clean throughout and illustrated by F.D. Bedford. Small closed tear along the fore-edge of page 9. pp. xxvi + 390 + 2. Overall a lovely copy. A collection of children's stories selected and arranged by E.V.
