Hardback, 1922 twelfth edition. Handsomely bound in navy cloth with gilt titles and black printed design to the front and spine. The binding is generally in a good clean condition and shows just a little bumping to the corners and minor surface wear to the front. The spine is a little faded with shelf wear to the top and base. The top edge of the text block is gilt and is still fairly bright. Presentation label dated 1924 to the front free endpaper. There is the occasional spot of foxing throughout especially to the prelims and towards the rear however the pages are clean. Beautifully illustrated by Nancy Barnhart. pp. 302 + 8. A lovely copy. Scarce Edition.
