Green clothbound boards with gilt titles to the spines. These are ex-library books with the usual stamps and a number of small inscriptions to the front free endpapers. Pages are eminently readable with good-sized text. Minor foxing throughout and some tanning due to age. Highlights include a foldout map of England, lovely frontispieces, and illustrations. Text blocks are ragged.  Both volumes have significant wear to the boards, but the bindings remain tight. Overall condition fair.
