Half buckram leather in dark green and burgundy with gilt titles and floral pattern to the raised bands. Delicate tooled flower to each of the four free panels, a lovely touch. Boards protected by clear wrapper. Stunning heraldic bookplate of Horatio Noble Pym in monochrome affixed to the front pasted down endpaper. Pages clean with mild foxing throughout and full-page illustrations. Boards are dark in places with rubbing to the joints and internal edges have seeped into the edges of the endpapers. pp.viii+359. Good overall. c.1860s
