Hard Back no date. Circa 1860's. A Beautifully bound book with decorative embossing and gilt pictorial to the front. Ornate gilt detail and titles to the spine. the cloth has a large stain to the corner of the front board while the spine has faded with closed tears along the outer hinges. All edges of the text block gilt. Internally the binding is a little weak. The yellow endpapers are worn with pieces missing along the centre, previous owner's inscription to the front free endpaper. The pages slightly toned with the occasional spot of foxing otherwise clean throughout. Illustrated with six, stunning colour plates and many line drawings with-in the text. pp. xii + 352. An informative book with beautiful illustrations.
