Hard back. The front of the jacket is particularly worn, with a number of tears. Otherwise, it is in good condition with only slight wear to the extremities. The rear of the jacket is a little toned, with some slight marks. The spine is worn along the top and bottom edges, and is a little faded. Price unclipped. The front and rear end papers contain an illustrated maps, and the verso of the front board has a small sticker belonging to a previous bookseller. Otherwise, the pages are clean throughout, the text is readable, and the numerous photographs and illustrations remain clear. pp. 256. Overall, a good copy of a well-respected account of the qualities of the Allied leaders of the Second World War, written from the unique perspective of a holder of numerous posts under these figures.
