Adapted from the German of Karl A. Von Zittel. Volume 1: Invertebrates. 1937. Volume 2: Vertebrates Fishes to Birds. 1932. Volume 3: Mammalia. 1925. Volumes uniformly bound in green cloth with gilt titling to the spines. Boards in very good condition with very minor shelf wear to the top and tail of the spines. Minor shelf wear to the dust jacket, resulting in a closed tear near the spine (7cm) to Volume 1. Small neat inscription from the previous owner to the front free end papers. Contents are generally clean and bright throughout, although there are a few very occasional pencil underlinings to the text. A lovely set, perfect for the eager fossil-lover.
