Original half calf with marbled paper covered boards, re-backed with a new calf spine, red label bands and gilt titles. Boards worn, light marking to the spine of volume 2 otherwise present well as an attractive set. New endpapers. Complete with frontispiece and title for each volume. Illustrated with engravings throughout. Bindings tight. A little occasional browning, and minor damp staining to a few engravings otherwise contents generally clean and bright. Vol.1 551pp. Vol.2 546pp. Vol.3 430pp. A nice set.
