Gilt tooled bands to spine, and red gilt tooled title band. Engraved vignette to title page. Embellished with superb engravings. Rear board missing. Moderate rubbing to cover and spine. Loss to majority of title band. Cracking to hinge and bumping to corners. Spine split down centre but still attached to text block. Cracking to gutter. Binding of text block relatively tight. Foxing to endpapers. Pages a little toned with light foxing and spotting to some of the edges. Otherwise clean. Overall fair to good condition. 307 + iv pp.
