First thus edition, hardback clothbound with printed embossed pictorial cover and spine, gilt tooled title to cover and spine. Top edge gilt. Patterned endpapers. Illustrated frontispiece, illustrated half title, illustrated throughout. Cover and spine a little darkened, rubbed particularly visible to gilt details. Shelf wear to edges and corners a little bumped. Small loss to edges of fep. Patterned ffep missing. Neat inscription to ffep. Small red stain to edge of prelims, bled from cover. Light toning and thumbing to pages throughout. Cracking to gutter, front boards starting. Water stain to rear board, Otherwise a smart copy. Overall very good- condition. 127 + 128 pp. Pretty book, scarce on the market.
