Fourth Edition. Beautiful presentation tree calf leather binding with ornate gilt ruled border to the front and rear, ornate gilt decoration and five raised bands to the spine. All edges of the text block marbled. The leather is in overall good condition with just minor loss to the corners and small score mark to the front board. Spine is a little sunned with light cracking of the top outer hinges. Marbled end-papers with presentation label awarded to E.L. Barnes in 1892 from Elstree School, to the front paste down. Small ink stamp and a little foxing to one of the prelims otherwise a good clean copy. pp. xxii + 323. Overall a handsome copy.
