A complete, original, descriptive account of the life-history of every species occurring in the British Islands, together with their habits, time of appearance, and localities. And illustrated. The binding is in a good clean condition with minimal wear, gilt titles to the spines still bright. Library label to the front paste downs and library stamp to the verso of the title page. Internal hinges have been reinforced with white binding. Pages are generally clean throughout with just the occasional spot of foxing. Pages are slightly crinkled along the top edge of the first volume possibly due to damp although this does not deter in anyway the condition of the book. Beautifully illustrated throughout.
