Hard Back Circa 1862. Comprising Information on Laying Out And Planting Gardens, Fruit, Flower And Kitchen Garden Arrangement etc. Half bound in leather with marble paper covered boards. Front board has at some point become detached and has been crudely re-attached with glue. Boards are rubbed and worn with some loss to the corners. Fraying and loss to the top of the spine. Previous owners' inscriptions to the verso of the front free end-paper, rear end-papers have been partly glued together along the hinge. Pages toned with the occasional  spot of foxing otherwise clean throughout. Illustrated by many wood engravings. pp. viii + 760. Overall a fair copy with provenance from the Beeton family.
