Beeton's Library Erckmann-Chatrian. Original pretty pictorial paper covers in good condition although a little worn with a small piece missing to one corner. Slight discolouration to the rear cover. Spine is creased with a small piece missing to the base. Embossed stamp to the front free end-paper and closed tear down the left hand side. Binding a little weak with cracking to the internal hinges. Previous owners' inscription to the half title page. Pages lightly toned with the occasional spot of foxing throughout although overall clean.  pp. 148 + 18. Overall a good copy of a scarce title. From the library of Major Beeton.
