Five raised bands to spine, detailed gilt decoration, green or black morocco label with gilt lettering. Gilt dentelles. All edges marbled. Marbled endpapers with bookplate to ffep for an award dated 1893. Small binder's stamp to front black Bickers & Son Leicester. Illustrations within the text throughout. Spine a little sunned although gilt is still bright. Light shelf wear and minor scuffs/scratches. Prelims lightly foxed, pages otherwise clean and bright. Overall very good condition. 330 pp. A decorative book.
