First Edition First Printing, 1908. Scarce copy. Pictorial paper covered boards with green cloth spine. Front board is in good condition although with some loss to the extremities especially the corners. Slight fraying to the top and base of the spine with minor splitting along the rear outer hinge. Rear board discoloured with loss to the corners. Binding weak with four pages loose. Pictorial endpapers. Pages toned to the extremities with the occasional foxing and thumb mark. Only four of the coloured plates are present with one of those plates having a closed tear to the base, the colour's however are still bright and vivid. There are a further two pages with closed tears, one page has been coloured in slightly. Illustrated with many charming black and white line drawings throughout. Overall a fair copy.
