First Edition. A superb copy from a prolific writer and player of golf. Original green cloth boards in a good clean condition despite a little discolouration to the base of the front board, slight dents along the fore edge. Minor shelf wear to the top and base of the spine. Previous owners' neat signature to the front free endpaper dated 1966. Minor pen notation and slight red stain to the rear endpapers. Pages otherwise are clean throughout with no further inscriptions or marks. pp. 142 + 16. Overall a good copy comprising of essays culled from The Times.
