Condition is uniform throughout the set: clean and bright throughout, top edge beautifully bright gilt, fore edge and bottom edge mostly untrimmed. Features lovely understated gilt patterns to bound edges, alongside further gilt decoration and titling to spine distributed between undamaged raised bands. Handsome full-colour frontispiece illustrations to each novel, with the particularly interesting and innovative addition of a matching paper overlay within 'Mansfield Park' to show both the north and south front of Harleston Park. Overall, a brilliant condition set, restored with skill and beauty to their intended state.
