An excellent little narratie capsule of hunting history published 1860, featuring lithographic frontispiece and original fold-out map. Condition is as follows. Front board textured and featuring delicate gilt tooling decoration - half-detached but kept by the binding string. Spine with four raised bands and elaborate giltwork - red title lable. Worn and cracked. Back board hinge broken though still attached and in relatively good condition despite faded section. Internally, inscription to ffep, light damp staining to verso of frontispiece. One full size illustration within. Some loss to top of p.71, thought this does not affect the text. Text is incredibly bright and clear. Overall a rare find perfect for a fan of antiquarian hunting titles, with price adjusted to match condition.
