First Edition Hard Back. Beautifully illustrated dust jacket in overall good condition despite a little surface wear to the front. Small closed tears to the extremities with a small piece missing to the top of the spine and rear edge. There is a small circular label to the spine. Original black cloth boards with slight bumping to the corners otherwise in excellent condition. Previous owners' green ink inscription to the front paste down and to the top of the first chapter. Pages otherwise are clean and bright throughout, illustrated. pp. xi + 230. Overall a good copy. The author, the wife of a forest officer in India, writes of her own life and duties over a period of thirty years; it is a story of big game hunting, fishing and journeying in forest and jungle..
