Published By: Printed by and For John Drakard 1822 (Stamford)

First Edition Hard Back. Scarce Title. Half bound in tan leather with decorative gilt ruled borders and green paper covered boards, this copy neatly re-backed with a later leather spine. There is a little loss to the leather especially to the corners otherwise in good condition. New endpapers and first blank page with erased pencil notation to the front free endpaper, barely noticeable. There is a little tape residue and erased pencil notation to the second blank page and a previous owners ink signature to the top of the title page. Light toning to the frontispiece and title page consistent with the books age. Minor ink marks to one of the Index pages. Pages otherwise are in a very good clean condition. pp. xiii + 621 + 12. Overall a very good copy of Drakard's famous book on Stamford.
