Gilt titles to the spine still bright and the title band still intact however there is some wear and a closed tear along the base of the front hinge. All edges of the text block gilt. Previous owners' inscription to one of the prelims with foxing to the prelims and towards the rear. Pages otherwise in a very good clean condition. Gilt decorated border to the title page. Each page is illustrated with the first letter of each paragraph ornately decorated and placed with-in a double ruled border. pp. xxxv + 476. A beautiful book.
