First Edition Hard Back. Original green cloth boards with gilt pictorial to the front and gilt titles to the spine. In overall good condition despite a little discolouration. Spine is lightly faded with slight shelf wear to the top and base, small white sticker to the centre. Previous owners small neat inscription in green to the front paste down and to the start of the first chapter. Binding tight. There is the occasional spot of foxing throughout otherwise a good clean copy. With a frontispiece, nine full page and eighteen half page illustrations from drawings by the author and fifty six photographs. pp. xi + 269. Overall a good copy.
