With tree calf binding, gilt coat of arms of Probus School to front cover and gilt decoration to edges of front and rear covers, spine and all edges of boards. With blue marbled decoration to all edges of text block, which matches marbled endpapers. Prize plaque to front pasted-down endpaper, dated 1926, from Probus School. Frontispiece depicts "A War Canoe of New Zealanders", with other illustrations throughout of Cook's Voyages. Pages throughout are clean and unmarred. pp. x + 404. Overall a very lovely prize binding that would make a great gift.
