Hard Back. Bound in the publisher's original brown cloth with decorative gilt border to the front and black title band to the spine. In overall good condition, both the front and rear board show minor discolouration however the cloth is fairly bright and shows very little wear. Light bumping to the corners. The cloth has split along the front outer hinge with a minor split to the rear. Light shelf wear to the top and base of the spine with a little chipping to the title band. Internally there is a little foxing to the front and rear endpapers and the occasional thumb mark throughout. Pages otherwise are clean and beautifully illustrated by Edmund Dulac. pp. xii + 256. Overall a lovely copy of this classic children's tale of adventure with the added bonus of Edmund Dulac's illustrations.
