A New Edition In One Volume. Edited with preface by William M. Rossetti. Beautifully half bound in rich burgundy leather with red cloth boards, ornate gilt floral detail and gilt titles to the spine. The binding is in excellent condition despite minor wear to the front with the gilt to the spine still bright. Top edge of the text bock gilt and still bright while the fore edge remains clean. Internally the binding is tight with marbled endpapers. Previous owner's book plate to the front paste down and small neat inscription to one of the blank prelims. Frontispiece of Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Pages are very clean throughout with just the very occasional thumb mark. pp. xxxi + 380. Overall a stunning copy. Would make an ideal gift. The brother of Christina Rossetti, Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828 - 1881 ) was an English poet, illustrator, painter and translator and co-founded The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.
