Translated from the German by G. C. T. Bartley. New And Revised Edition. Beautifully bound in red cloth with bevelled edges and pictorial in gilt and black to the front and spine. Small gilt and black emblem from Halesowen Grammar School to the rear. The binding is in a lovely clean condition with the gilt still bright to the front. Minor surface wear to the front, but nothing serious, light wear to the corners. Spine has faded with the gilt dulled, light shelf wear to the top and base. All edges of the text block gilt and still fairly bright. Yellow decorative endpapers with some toning and a presentation label to the front paste down. Some tape repair to the top right hand corner of the front free endpaper. Pages appear unread with no marks, foxing or owners' inscriptions and beautifully illustrated throughout. pp. xi + 388. Overall a beautiful book in very good condition.
