Translated by Edward Fitzgerald and illustrated by Charles Robinson. Introduction by Laurence Housman. Beautifully bound in full red leather with stunning gilt pictorial and titles to the front. The leather is clean and bright and in overall good condition despite a little wear to the corners and a light scratch mark to the front. All edges of the text block gilt. Lightly marbled endpapers with small ink stamp to the lower right hand corner of the front free endpaper. Previous owners small inscription to the verso. Prelims very lightly foxed with slight red mark to the top of page 45 otherwise a very good clean copy. Illustrated with 4 tipped in colour plates including frontispiece with each page beautifully adorned with a decorative border. pp. 72. A beautiful book.
