Newly Revised and much Enlarged Edition. 1865. Hard Back. Bound in the publisher's original brown cloth with simple embossed design to the boards, gilt titles and vignette to the spine. The boards although present are a little loose from the contents with some fading and slight wear to the extremities. Slight splitting of the cloth down the front outer hinge with fraying to the top and base of the spine. Binding loose. Smudged ink stamp to the half title page. Pages are generally clean despite some foxing, illustrated with plates and line drawings with-in the text. pp. xlvii + 643. Overall a fair copy obviously a much used and well loved copy.
