Illustrated By: Richard Lindner

Published By: Prestel 1999 (Munich)

709 pages with 26 full-colour and 3092 black-and-white illustrations, 11 photographs, and 1 facsimile page. Richard Lindner (1901-1978), a German-born refugee from Nazi oppression who settled in New York, created a bold and deeply disturbing body of work completely at odds with that city's vanguard of the 1950s. This is a comprehensive and exhaustive insight into Lindner's extensive oeuvre.
Original pictorial jacket in very good condition with just a little scuffing to the very edge of the spine's head and the top right corner of the front board. Underneath lie grey cloth-bound boards with a pleasant visible weave. Pictorial spine label. Internally pristine with excellent visual reproductions. Includes original blue cloth slipcase with small signs of wear and previous price label attached; overall in good + condition.

Truly an essential reference book for fans of Lindner's work that allows for a comprehensive study of the artist.
Please be aware that this is a heavy book and may require a small additional fee for postage.
