A 1906 printing of the very desirable Peacock edition of Pride, ornately decorated with detailed gilt peacock feathers to the front and spine. The condition is as follows. Lovely, bright gilt to front with minimal wear. Top edge gilt. The bottom right corner bumped. The spine uniformly faded to a chestnut brown. Slight chipping and wear to head of spine. Back cover with a little fading to RHS. Spine lean. Subtle tanning to ffep and bfep. Bright, clean title page with brilliantly defined wording, facing frontispiece entitled 'Reading Jane's Letters.' Printed dedication within from Hugh Thomson, as was popular for the period.
